India’s largest automobile manufacturer TATA Motors – has launched its next generation Prima range of heavy commercial vehicles in Bhutan, Asia.

Produced with technical inputs from across the globe, the new Prima is said to set new benchmarks in styling and features.

Boasting an Italian cab design, modern commercial vehicle interiors and features, engine technology from both Europe and the USA, transmission expertise from Germany, chassis frame technology from Mexico, sheet metal dies from Japan and Korea, and Swedish precision in the production, the PRIMA is aptly titled as a “World-Smart” truck.

“The launch of the Prima World-Smart range of heavy commercial vehicles in Bhutan is an important milestone in TATA Motors’ continued expansion in the country and the South Asian region,” says Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director Commercial Vehicles Business, TATA Motors.

“As a major player in the region, TATA Motors is committed to shaping the commercial vehicle industry here with latest global technologies,” he added.

The Prima will initially be introduced in the tipper and cargo-carrying segments, with a variety of driveline combinations to suit various applications.
