More than 20 business leaders signed up for the SA Express Parcel Association’s (SAEPA) Speed in a Suit competition held at TruckX last week.
Hyundai supplied two express courier vehicles in the form of their very popular H1 for the Speed in a Suit competition. The event was designed for leaders in the express parcel industry to compete in a fun competition that simulates a speedy delivery using the least amount of fuel.
Executives took to Kyalami’s Dynamic handling track where they needed to try and get as close to a benchmark time, by driving as smoothly and fuel efficiently as possible.
The Hyundai vehicles were fitted with advanced telematics systems by Ctrack, which allowed judges to determine who drove closest to the predetermined ideal parameters.
The winner walked away the first Speed in a Suit trophy while the booby prizes, for those that did not fare so well included two tickets to any South African destination, sponsored by Kulula.
