Automechanika Johannesburg, South Africa’s leading international trade fair for the automotive service industry, is scheduled to take place at Nasrec from September 27 to September 30 next year, according to a statement released by the organisers.

Two new events will be incorporated in the trade fair – Futuroad Expo, which will feature exhibits of trucks, buses, trailers, body builders and related commercial vehicles; and Scalex Johannesburg, which is aimed at the logistics and materials handling sector.

According to show director Philip Otto, in keeping with global trends Automechanika Johannesburg’s product groups have been updated for 2017. Exhibits will be categorised as follows:

  • Parts & Components;
  • Electronics & Systems;
  • Accessories & Customizing;
  • Repair & Maintenance;
  • Management & Digital Solutions;
  • Car Wash, Care & Reconditioning;
  • Safari and Off-Road Vehicles and Trailers.

As before, the trade fair will incorporate an Innovation Awards component as a showcase for innovative products and technology, while a conference and workshop programme will provide an opportunity for discussion regarding latest developments in the aftermarket sector.
